I presume your talking about the drops. Cause there’s also back bacon(fun little hole at high water) 200 meters downstream from the drops.
We run the falls all the time in the fall, October, november seems to have just the right amount of water and no ice. It probably is runnable at other times but this is the most adequate.
At hight water it is a lot less of a drop, the canyon fills up quite a bit but there is a very nasty hole at the end of the canyon after the drops.
Be advised you cannot access from the shore directly besides the drops. You have to put in above the dam, upstream from the fence, run the dam river right(when they close the gates it is + or – 10′ drop with a nice smooth round concrete landing and no pretruding objects, you won’t be able to scout this, it’s under a bridge…). Take out after that same restricting gate either river right or left.
