Before you guys get all worked up about paddling at night time in zero degree temps with water just a hari above freezing, you shuold know that I paddled there yesterday afternoon from 4 – 6 with only 1 or 2 other boaters. Its not so crowded that you have to paddle in the dark.
Yes it gets busy but there are other options:
QC shoreline down near Remic has lots of options at a good range of water levels. There is a decent wave there now.
Remic is always good and the flow brings you most of the way back to shore. Take as long a ride as you like.
Once the level drops sewer wave – and some others – come in as well. No glow sticks necessary
