Email the Mayor of Montreal here to let him know that the “Park du Cite de Havre” is a parking lot used by paddlers and surfers from arround the world, from March through November, for a destination spot. It is the ONLY parking available for more than 2km for people (whether roller bladers, fishermen, or users of the wave). While the park officially opens from june to September, the months that the wave is at its best is march to june, so having it open from June on is fairly pointless. Make it clear that you visit montreal for many reasons, stay in hotels (don;t tell him you’re a bum kayaker and sleep in your truck and don;t eat out) but without access to the wave you have no reason to visit the city.
International emails will certainly open some eyes at city hall. Here is his email.
