The river is public access. Parking is free behing the Maxi store.
The levels don’t change more than 2 or 3 inches during the season.
The top hole is a great spot to throw loops.
And yeah, the water is pretty clear there.
If you go, try to stay off the property acrross the river. The old folks are generally peacefull but protective of the space.
Do not put money in the donation box. It tends to get ripped off.
You are better off making a donation directly to the address found in the website website of the local club also mentioned in the posting on playak.
I think 20 bucks gets you one of their stickers for the car or on your gear.
Considering there is no parking charge and the access is free it is worth the 20.
OH: UNFORTUNATELY THE RAMP WAS DEMOLISHED BY THE LOCAL LAND OWNERS (mall owners). IT WAS DEEMED A HAZARD….. That sucks. It was a blast.
It might get rebuilt but that is in the air still and in negociations…..
It is a nice spot to get out to on the way to Montreal
The description on the playak site of the features is good. (Don’t mean to be too biased since I put the review and description of the spot there on the playak site but it is accurate).
I am out there at least once or twice a week and our club does day outings there (http://www.cornwallwhitewater.com).
Go check it out.
