I was on the lower Yough with a group of Ontario paddlers over the Victoria Day weekend. The River was really up due to all the rain in PA the previous week. It was quite fun at 4’8 or so.
If you’re down towards the Yough, I highly recommend Slippery Rock creek if the levels are good. We ran it at 2′ on Monday. For us, it was handy because it was on the way home from the lower Yough. (border=Buffalo for us). Might not be feasible depending on where you want to cross. But, it was a very pretty run, and the mad mile was a really fun class III boat scoutable read and run all the way down – pretty much continuous whietwater for a mile. Nice.
