It turns out that my fiance had some Oil of Oregano in the medicine cabinet so she prepared a face steam for me. It worked quite well. Right after the steam the swelling of my sinuses significantly decreased. I went to bed, had a great sleep and felt 8.5 out of 10 in the mroning. The previous day I had to leave work half way through the day because my sinuses were so inflamed. Thank you Tyler for your suggestion.

As or the Flonase, I do like the fact that it is a preventative measure. Of course, my fiance who keeps Oil of Oregano on hand, thinks it is a bad idea. From what I have found since reading your posts, flonase may be a good solution as it “it prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation” (http://www.drugs.com/flonase.html). It is definately something I am going to speak with my Dr. and Pharmacist about to get the full scoop on possible long term side effects.

Thank you for your input and advice. Both suggestions (I do not include the farmer blows as a suggestion because I already do this… I think it does help a little) are good suggestions and after a little more research I am going to use the method that I feel most comfortable with.[/quote:1ggfw9nr]

For maximum affect, right after the facial steam, I snort a couple drops if it directly into the nose/sinuses as well (it can burn a “wee” bit  ) and lay on the couch for a few minutes (with a cup) with your head tilted back so it “seeps” deep into your sinuses. Then, holy crap wait for the diluge of kife that flows out of your sinuses….you will feel like a 9/10 after that.

Also, you can do this 3-4 times/day. Hope this helps.
