I can’t believe that anybody could recommend hauling on a steroidal sniffer regularly as a [i:2hqgb3ao]preventative[/i:2hqgb3ao] measure just because their doctor told them it’s the ticket – have you ever seen the shin digs the pharmaceutical companies used to throw for doctors to pitch stuff like this (before it was ruled unethical)!??!
This is the same profession that used to want to throw cortisone into your joints repeatedly till there was no cartilage left…I’m all with Tyler, I’m not slagging MDs, but if you have a chronic issue, there are so many less harmful alternatives than doing lines of some rank pharmaceutical. Same goes for having your sinuses drilled. Some ENT specialists get all horny over this procedure, ‘cause they can already vision the next addition on the Fort Lauderdale condo, but try find someone who’s happy with the results after a couple years…
If you aren’t into snorting chemicals, I’d give needles a try. Not smack, but acupuncture. A number of years ago, my sinuses were getting worse, until I had a sinus infection/poor drainage for almost half a year. I was on four separate courses of antibiotics, the last set of pills were the size of horse suppositories, and I still felt like someone had attached a vice to my head. Two weeks of acupuncture (yeah, needles right in the face, right up to the skull, feel the vibrations in the cranium…) I was 80% better, and within a month all gone, never to return, and I’ve paddled in some rank water…
Broaden your horizons and go check a Chinese medicine practitioner (some chiropractors and Physios also do it).
