I have paddled the attainment move in a slow spud several dozen times since the little rock wall was added.
Even at the super low level the river is at now, when the lake is up the “wall” is under water. Only when the lake drops off is the “wall” in the way and then the attainment to the Otterslide is not possible. That was the case prior to this minor adjustment.
If anything the water being held by this “wall” creates more of an eddy. In other words, the attainment to the Otterslide is possible over a wider range of lake and river levels.
Definition: “wall” a very big word used to describe an almost insignificant pile of small rocks.
Some of these posts make it sound like one wouldn’t recognize the Otterslide area.
Just to give the worry warts some comfort, I alone could remove virtually all of these rocks in less time than has been put into writing this petty series of posts!
