Hey is anyone balsy enough to come and run the Beamer Falls/slide and the rest of the creek? Its Pumpin and 95% doable except i think for the falls after the slide! There is a few trees down that would have to be cut but shouldnt be hard!. Its flowing higher then ive ever seen. Its Steep Rocky Verry technical.
I am Down if anyone else would care to join even for safety on the sides and photographers if nothing else . Ill even go buy a new boat since mine is out in B.C. right now if I can get a crew together! Ive been talking about it and watching this creek for a few years and its never been as runable as it is now!
Email me if interested.
Manno U got the stomach for it?
Cheers!March 24, 2007 at 3:34 am #24493
We’re going to Cattaraugus creek Sunday, working Sat. But I’d take a look at it with you on Mon.March 24, 2007 at 5:02 am #24494
There’s a crew of us hittin’ it tomorrow (saturday pm) probably around 4 pm.
Got a film crew to shoot us doing that after Devil’s Punchbowl at 1pm.
C ya there.March 24, 2007 at 12:19 pm #24495
Where’s devils punch bowl?March 24, 2007 at 12:38 pm #24496
I looked up Devils Punchbowl in Stoney Creek it’s a 40m (120ft)drop and the Lower Devils Punchbowl although much lower, lands on a bunch of bolders, so you’re either nuts or a real funny guy.
Hey Rob have you cleared any of the trees and branches off your creek yet? Call me!March 24, 2007 at 3:59 pm #24497Ray-CParticipant
I brought my photo gear down from Ottawa (in Hamilton for a week) if it’s worth setting up for a photo shoot of the run. PM me if anyone’s planning on firing it up for real.

theres no way you can do devils punch bowl its huge with no water at the bottom! the pools only about 4ft deep at its best! Probably still lote on ice there too. You can run the lower falls there but not the upper!
Whos all going to Beamer??? Does anyone haveextra gear I coul borrow since it so last minute? I need everything all of mine is currently in B.C.
I have a spare paddle her but thats it.
Well im if I dont hear from anyone Ill be taking my dog for a walk there shortly. Hopefully ill see someone there! my # is 905-741-4610 Please call if you are serious about running it!
If it doesnt happen this weekend I could be suited up for next weekend for sure!! CheersMarch 24, 2007 at 6:08 pm #24499Ray-CParticipant
I meant if anyone’s running Beemer (not Punchbowl), I can run photo duty. I may be able to lend some gear if needed as I only brought my playboat down, but have gear with me. No throw bag for safety though.

Whew!! What a stellar day.
Hucked ’em all and got great footie.
You guys were right about Punchbowl tho. Really had to nail the boof and even then the boat got dinged up a bit at the bottom. Not quite as deep as I figured. Real glad I used my backup boat on that one!!!!!
Thanks to my safety guys and the steady Eddies behind the lenses.
You guys rock.

The rights to pics and vid is out of my hands.
It is some pretty incredible footage tho.
You may see it shortly at : http://www.tetongravity.com/viewer/viewer.aspx
Or it may be in one of their upcoming vids. Please buy a vid so I can replace my backup creeker which looks like it will be retired. There was more damage than I thought after inspecting it today. Ha ha.
Seriously, don’t be cheap. Support the hardcore all-stars like me. Cuz I do what most of you only dream about so I am sure you can swing some green my way.

Dude, relax. I am sorry I was late and missed you. Didn’t think you would get so bent or feel snubbed.
I roll with a serious crew. We got our style together. We get the unimagineable done.
Seriously, aren’t YOU the one who doesn’t even have a creeker in the province. When you get your shit together and wanna roll with the big dogs, let me know. Until then, enjoy your hikes with your dog.
But in the meantime, don’t be a player hater.
Everybody gonna get their chance to shine someday.

Hey Rob, Mano,
Bobbie and I took a look at Beamers falls and 40 mile creek in the fall and it is on my radar. Although I won’t be able to arrange a day off from work early in the week, although if you think the levels will hold I could probably get Thrusday or Friday off to go have some fun.
Keep me in the loop
