    Hi-
I’m looking for directions on how to get to the Quebec side campground that is between Garb and McCoys. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, does anyone know the name of this campground? It is the one beside the dam.
    Thanks!,
    Bryan

    Here are the instructions:

You can contact the camp site which is operated by Horizon X.
    http://www.horizonx.ca

    From Ottawa,
    Take the 417 West.
The 417 will become the 17. Continue west.
Approximately 5km past Renfrew turn right onto Storyland road (county road 4).
At first stop sign (stinson gas station) turn right onto 653 (North) towards Quebec.
Cross the all the dams andd bridges and continue on hwy 301 until the T in the road.
At the T intersection turn left onto hwy 148.
Turn left onto (chemmin du Grand Calumet) in Bryson.
This will take you onto the island (Grande Calumet)
Turn right onto the Chemin Des Outaouais.
    Left onto Chemin Deer.
    Left onto Chemin Barry,
follow signs to the hydro quebec “barrage” and for Horizon X.
    You have arrived.

Great campsite. Very clean and not expensive either.

The guys at Horizon X are really cool too. (No… I do not work there)

    Hi !

It’s called parc du rocher fendu. I’ve organized a 3 day festival there last year for 170 paddlers. Great place !

From Chenaux road(Ontario) cross over the dam to la Belle Province(hwy 301) all the way to hwy 148(road ends). Left on the 148 for a few kms only then left again on chemin Wilson. You’ll be crossing the river again but you’re now on ÃŽle du grand Calumet.
Road name is chemin des Outaouais, you’ll go across a small village, asphalt will turn to gravel, easiest way from there is look out for the Barrage du rocher fendu sign(hydro québec signs). They’ll lead you to the site.

    Google earth coordinates 45 45′ 06” N – 76 46′ 08” W(load this up it will help)

    Enjoy <img loading=” title=”Cool” />
