Anyone been to Champlain in the last couple days? Thinking about going after work, but wondering if it’ll be any good.

    Cheers,

    S.

Was out last night. I won’t be going back this season.
The eddy is gone, and so is the rope. The wave… small and will flush you as soon as possible.

Really don’t recomend going if you are a little slow setting up for a roll. It’s gotten really shallow behind the first wave. My buddy took his time setting up, and ran straight into a rock, head first.
He’s OK, but collected a few battle scars.

on the map go on hogs back road, turn in the hogs back park —parking lot, very simple, I will be there at 4 , it’s park and play . its a “hole”, blunt throwers need not apply.

the hole is 200 feet downstream of the falls on the far west side , dont walk by the river(to bouldery) just walk down colonel by drive to where the black guard rail starts and look down the cliff.
I usualy drive and stop here in my car(with hazards on) and have a quick look to make sure the levels o.k. I have been going here for many years and it is a great spot.
