Anyone have any info from the Dam People re: flows at the Gull?

    Is it:
"We are saving the water for the OC slalom in Sept."
"There is no water to let go."
"The Trent is full and doesn’t need any water."
"Oopps. We forgot about the Gull."
"We are sick and tired of people running our dam. Too bad."
"We are planning on bringing it up to 8.2 – 8.4 today."

    or something else?

WO got any contacts here, or is the Kipawa taking all the attention?

You are asking the wrong people about the Gull River. You should be asking the WO about the Kipawa R. that’s where all there time and effort are these days.

The current Gull level is adequate and stable. The water is refreshing but not to cold. The sun is shinning, there are a hundred undiscovered lines. Earl’s works better this year than in recent past, the Otter Slide has a decent wave and the lake wave comes in most afternoons.

WO is the reason the Gull exists at all but you two gimme gimme’s want them to spoonfeed you every little detail to lead you to the perfect day and time to be there. Thats Disneyland your looking for!

Bet neither of you are members. I bet you both have camped at the Preserve and not paid. I bet you’ll be among the first tell WO how they screwed up when the Kipawa is finally lost, god forbid!!

Guy’s like you are the reason I don’t rush to post the Gull levels.

    You don’t deserve to know.

I’m not sure who sideline is, but Jon volunteers for the cleanup days, and did help this year. I cannot say for sure, but everytime he’s been there when I have (which is not often — I go 1 or 2 times a year), he’s paid.

That being said, I do respect your point about wanting everything perfect and accessible.

    WOW that’s harsh!
I too would like to see the level up to 8.2 to 8.4 for the longer boats. I do not think that the original message was to imply that WO was in the wrong. Furthermore I know Jon in a WO member so it is most likely that he pays his camping fees (as do I). We all need to be able to recognize a joke when we read it.

If that is Jon McPhee I apologize.

It’s not like him to poke fun at WO.

    Sorry Jon!
