We stopped at Crowe after running Beaver Creek, and it was very good! At this level – 86 cms at noon – this is the breakdown of features:
Front wave: super mellow, barely surfable in a spud, would be nice, mellow surf in a longer boat.
Hole: Great! Still good for vertical moves and wave moves. Blunts and backstabs off both corners. Deep enough to go full vertical.
Third Wave: Good. Not super tall or steep, but a consistent foam pile in the middle, and a surging break across most of the river-right side. Still totally surfable, spinnable, bluntable in a spud.
It is still dropping, and will just get more mellow, but it was pretty stellar today. I aplogize to anyone that didn’t go today based on my description earlier. I owe you a beer!
Oh what a blast it was! Thanks for a great day!
deemo, and you didn’t come when Crowe was at 120 last weekend… now you see what you missed….
i really hope that crowe comes back up…. ” title=”Sad” />
