Ok some of the Mensa minds on the board were arguing over the actual odds of winning the raffle earlier. It’s time for you to get out your sleds rules again.

We were planning on selling paper tickets at the raffle. We sold very few at Palmerfest. Since the rally has been cancelled there is one piece of good news. We are going to cut the online sales off at 100. The paper tickets I think were only 4. So instead of selling 200 tickets we will only sell 104.
We have about 20 tickets left to sell online. So go to http://www.kipawariver.ca and buy the last few remaining tickets. Four great prizes and only 104 tickets will be sold.

We will hold that draw about a week after all the tickets are bought.

Come on people help get these tickets solds.

There is nothing of interest for an open boater.

Well, you could always sell it! As far as the paddles and such are concerned, I am sure you could get a single bladed stick.

Or alternatively, should you win a boat, donate it to S&M Ben so he can blow it up and use the footage in his next video  !

Just got some tix myself, maybe I’ll win something for a change!

    TGG!

I would think helping protect the Kipawa would interest any kind of boater, even the challenged.

I awholeheartedly agree Gary, the choice for the challenged boaters is actually quite good, they can choose a kayak… …!

    TGG!

First off, Damn you Kevin M!!! This is another ploy to get me to buy another ticket.

Second [quote:sdqopbl2]Or alternatively, should you win a boat, donate it to S&M Ben so he can blow it up and use the footage in his next video ! [/quote:sdqopbl2]
TGG stop stealing my ideas….(see original raffle post)

Well gotta go buy another ticket, this time I won’t start any arguements about odds calculations.

Funny how when sitting in front of your computer a kayak is of no interest to you.
Typical open boater. But why is it that halfway down a rapid kayaks become very important. They are the people you are yelling "SAVE ME, SAVE MY CANOE, SAVE MY BASICALLY USELESS SINGLE BLADE" at. Tsk Tsk.

One would assume that a brand new kayak may just be worth trading on some gear or converted into a C1. Hey just fill it with air bags, drag it behind your canoe so when you swim you can grab the bow and feel better.

The value of the paddle is to be used toward any paddle H20 makes. Even one of those half paddle thingies.

Clothes and a duffle bag? PLEASE COLIN, TELL ME YOU WEAR CLOTHES!!!
Sure these don’t make you look like you’re a tourist from Boyse Idaho. Who knows if you wear them someone might confuse you for a real paddler.

Aquabound break down paddle. Hey man use your head. It comes in two pieces. STick a tgrip in the open end and you have two paddles.

Hell this is twice as good a prize for Open boaters. We should charge double for open boater tickets.

Grant, thanks for the support. Sorry you felt it was necessary to damn me.

Gonzo talk some sense into Colin. You probably have some kind of secret handshake. Something that resembles someone flailing around in whitewater.

    OUCH! Gary that’s low.

Colin (and all the rest of you for that matter) get off your wallet and don’t tell me the Kipawa isn’t of interest to every paddler.

The secret handshake is us laughing and pointing at double bladers whining about how they have no place to put their lunch and are asking us to carry it for them

OK I tried to buy a ticket online with my CC.

It then wanted me to setup a paypal account which I did.

It then wanted banking information … don’t think so … no way.

It would not let me use my CC as it kept saying it needed the extended number and i already provided it. I deleted my CC and re-added 3 times.

    So I guess I won’t be buying a ticket.

I am now off to Palmer. If anyone has any ideas on whats up with my paypal issues let me know.

You figure if your paying by CC and click don’t have a paypal account you could just buy a frickin ticket without an account or is it just because i am a dumb ass open boater who uses CIBC?

p.s. Kevin … yes I wear clothes and a pink thong!

    Colin,

I successfully purchased tickets last night, using just a credit card via the paypal site… not sure what you were doing wrong.

Perhaps for the ugly shirt contest, you could wear one that says, "I went to buy a raffle ticket to support the Kipawa, but all i got was this crappy T-shirt"

I just tried with a different CC and get his message:

Based on your transaction details, you need to log into your PayPal account to complete your payment.

And if I try with a different email address it wants me to sign up.

I have had enough of this crap.

I just got a ticket Colin. So, next time we paddle, I’ll bring my brand new Ronin for you to see how well it would have fit you as a C1. But I think afterwards, you’ll be too sad to paddle your barge when you see how much fun it is to paddle, even as a k1! So keep trying to get your own ticket.
