Hello … I live in Richmond Hill, and find my way to the Gull as close to weekly as possible during the summer months … It’d be a great idea to get an email list of ‘suburban paddlers’ from Aurora, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, etc. It costs $60 to drive there, which is alot if you are just going to paddle for a few hours and have to get home (I’ve got 2 kids) … My schedule is very flexible during the summer, and tend to get to Minden fro the day, usually on a tuesday or a wednesday …. I paddle a c-1. Later.May 17, 2007 at 2:58 am #26704McCarts22Participant

We should compile a list of paddlers emails and can get groups going out. Alot or rivers close within a couple areas but no local playspots or rivers. :
Heres a list so far of email:
This is it so far still need Kentron, tyler_sadler11, Jon’s, dave busch and last of all Howell ( the c-1 er )
Gull should be coming up soon , supposed release occuring soon
Any other levels can be check on the whats running page, Lets get kayakingMay 29, 2007 at 12:34 am #26709chris.lawrenceParticipant
I believe the water levels are still too low to paddle. When they come up and it should be soon I’II start emailling so we can car pool or meet up there. ChrisMay 29, 2007 at 12:36 am #26710
Gull Is REALLY low i was there last weekend it would be a Bumpy run with No playspots at all. I’ ll be there with you. Although i dont have a car and cant drive but will pay for gas moneyMay 29, 2007 at 4:35 am #26711tyler_sadler11Participant
My work schedule is kind of random for days off, but as soon as the gull gets running I try and head up whenever i have time off, hopefully once a week and i drive right through newmarket on my way up. my email is firstname.lastname@example.org, and most times i’ll have a car so i have no problem picking up people on my way through. Also, i have an apartment in Ottawa since i go to school there, so if anyones ever up for a weekend on the Ottawa and willing to pitch gas i’ll be heading there on occasion.
See ya guys throughout the summer
