My husband and I are coming up to Ottawa from North Carolina to visit family and would like to paddle August 6 -10th. We’re wondering what’s within a day or overnight trip that’s 3 (with a few 4) class? We’d love to get on the Ottawa – I ran it a few years back in a clinic but don’t think I can remember much of the rapids – would anyone be willing to play guide? We’d gladly return the favour for paddling in North Carolina and Tennessee. <img loading=” title=”Very Happy” />

Sure, go to the Ottawa, but also plan on Gatineau River, and the Rouge Canyon or 7 Sisters (depending on water level). All of these are less than 2 hours from downtown Ottawa. Gatineau and Ottawa are guaranteed water levels. The Rouge fluctuates a lot — it always has water, but sometimes too much.
