Here’s some picks from Sturg a week or two ago, thought I’d share them with you guys.

If you like what you see, we’re having a festival up here the last weekend in June. Big safe friendly features, good food, live band, a DJ, perhaps a keg or two, prizes etc… Deep, warm, safe water, I’ve never hit any rocks out there. We’d love to see you guys out here!

The website will be updated with more details soon.

    WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No Jenifers? Man …thats so sad .
Hey Andy…tow sytem?Sounds interesting,is it coming off the point? I imagine most of the 807 crew will want to check out Sturgen first. It is a not bad level still and a good warm up for White Mud. Ill be coming to The Mud for sure so we will see You out there.
We have gotten and are getting a bunch more rain and everything is coming up around here. This should be good for future levels in the Peg system.I think we have gotten over and 35 mm this week already and have another 10 coming!

18-20 hrs along the Trans Canada

It’s easier to fly to Winnipeg, rent a boat from MEC and drive to Kenora

It’s an hour from Winnipeg Paul.
    ROAD TRIP!!!!

The festival is 23-25 June (from Playak.com):
    Manitoba Whitewater Club Shindigggg 2006.
Fun weekend of beats, beverages, and boating. Main campsite/party ground is at cook’s falls, Manitoba… smack dab in the middle of Manitoba’s sweet big water playspots (including Sturgeon and Whitemud Falls)! Admission includes a sweet meal, live DJ, food, bevys, tomfoolery, and shenanigans….Good times to be had by all! All levels of boaters are welcome!

Link to Cook’s Falls (close to Sturgeon):

I rode my bike from Winnipeg to Kenora to Toronto to Ottawa
It was brutal. Northern Ontario is definately the worst for cycling hills!!!!
