Well the 2006 paddling season still continues.

    It was slightly overcast.

Peter, Stephen, and I had a great day on the river.

We initially met at the Washago Black. Unloaded the boats, etc. I mentioned that the Lower Head would be a good run. We took a vote … it was unanimous. We threw the boats back onto the vehicles and headed over the the Lower Head.

The river was at a medium level with NO bump and grind. (Thom the WB gauge was 8.44)

We managed to take out a large tree and a small one on the river left ledge of the 1st frop of triple drop.

There are still two trees at the 2nd drop and and a large chunk of tree (due to beavers) about 20 feet down on river left from the 2nd drop.

Peter … thanx for the hot chocolate … the guy at Tim Who’s said it was already paid for. I owe you a fruit tart next time.

Hey Colin. Have you, or can you, post your pictures of the Lower Head from a couple of weeks ago? I’d love to see them, Ryan.

I need to pick the best of the pics and add them to the document Peter and I put together.

There is currently 128 pictures I have now put them in order.

I have to convert them to a lower resolution for the document.

I hope to have it done within a week … pending no crisis at work.

    Hope that is ok.

Oh  I didn’t realize there were that many pictures, sorry Colin. I’ve paddled the Black, but not the Head yet. I was just curious to see what it looked like. Thanks Ryan.

version I could email you for checking. I have asked Bryce if I can upload it directly to BoatWerks and waiting for response from him.

You will definitely get a feel for what the river looks like.
