Looks like the rain has brought some things up.

Lower Mad is at 56 and rising: very close to a good play level at Hass, and a great running level.

Petawawa is at late spring levels.

Ottawa is jumping around, currently at 2.5

Gull is still low, but they pulled a log downstream, so help may be on the way.

The tours website says 7.5 for the Ottawa now… wtf? Are these kinds of large fluctuations normal?

    Jenny Right-Side

Nothing on the Ottawa is ever "normal"
That’s the joy of having a river that’s dependent on both rain and about 100 upstream dams

i dont’ think this is very normal… about 3 or so years ago they re-did the dam at sullivans and they can open the shoots quite quickly allowing them to change the level this fast. before it didn’t seem to change as fast (because now, they can close sullivans just to get a feel for how much water is still coming at them from upstream i am guessing)

Got off the Gull at 3pm, water was still about 7.9. Anyone got an in with those hydro guys for the weekend?

    Scotty The MAN

Ottawa was up to 9 at one point today. No idea where it is now. Jusy show up and paddle, man.
