I will do a full update tomorrow, figuring that folks have Friday off and will want to make plans. There is rain in the forecast, but nothing significant right now – start dancing!
Overall, things look good for the weekend. The Hwy 7 runs should hold runnable, although not stellar water for the weekend. Rain will only improve things. Crowe bridge should stay good for at least the first part of the weekend.
The Madawaska system looks great. There is still lots of snow in Algonquin Park feeding that whole system. The Upper could be a great run this weekend. The lower is still huge.
The Mag is dropping, but still plenty of water.
The Gull is at a stellar level, although they dropped a log sometime in the last couple of days. Lots of water upstream, so it should hold.
Washago Black continues to drop fast, but still has a long way to go before it’s runnability is affected. I would imagine the Head is not going to hold water for the weekend.
I know you’re not my beyatch Thom (although I do wish it) any info on Sharps and the Drag would be most helpful…. ” title=”Smile” />
We all have dreams….I talked to a couple of paddlers from Bracebridge yesterday. Their best description of Sharps was that it was “pumping” on Sunday. I don’t have any better info than that.
The Drag is still running. Ed ran it Monday night. I will post an update on it tomorrow. If you’re looking for steeps, the Oxtongue still has good water, and as late as Sunday the Hollow was very high.
