What type of first aid and rescue training do you have?

Do you know what to do if someone in your group gets hurt, there is a near-drowning and the person needs resusitation? Do you know how to rescue someone trapped or pinned underwater? What about rescuing a pinned boat?

I am wondering how safety conscious we are as a whitewater community?

It’s scary to say I don’t have much of anything. I am planning to do some sort of weekend SWR this summer and at the very minimum some CPR training. I’ve read enough stories and AW accident reports now to see the difference it makes.

Another vote for Esprit’s SRT. Great instructors, great food, good fun. Jim Coffey rocks!
