    Heya,
I’m gonna be road tripping from Thunder Bay to Ottawa in the next few days and want to try to hit up as many rivers as possible on the way back down. I’ve never paddled any of the hwy 17 rivers, but have heard nothing but good things. Anybody have any input/advice/directions on rivers that are up. Also, anybody know what level the Ottawa is sitting at?? Has the ice melted yet???
    Cheers

For park and play check out "dreamspot" http://sudbury-white-water.tripod.com/i … rget=_self
between Iron Bridge and Blind River, it’s an Ottawa River size play spot, I believe it’s best above 10.4 on the online Missisaugi Chute guage. Try posting here: http://bitchnpost.proboards101.com/inde … rd=general
for some quality input for the Sault to Sudbury area.

Dreamspot is on the south side of Hwy. 17 and is visible, driving East look right, driving west look left. When you reach MacIvers Motel, look for the road from the hwy that leads right to the rapid. Other spots will depend a lot on when you are making your trip. Post on the Sudbury board close to the date of your trip and you should get current data. Possibly check with the paddling company that’s based in Wawa for ideas of what might be running around there on the way to the Sault.
