    Hey,

Any suggestions for winter paddling expeditions in the US? Would love to kayak the fu in chile, but don’t have enough $! I’m looking for something in the US, that might be less expensive and something I can try to plan for January? Either for a week or even just for a few days. Look forward to hearing some ideas.

    Cheers,
    Randy

    Hi Randy,

We just got off the river here in Mexico. January is a great time down here. Our trips are pretty affordable ($1000 CDN taxes included) and Air Canada now has a seat sale on for about $500 into Mexico City. We paddle a different river everyday (6 days), eat very well and really get involved in our local village life. Although it might not be exactly what you are looking for (not in the US) it is a great trip in a great location. If you want more direct information you can contact me at worldwide@whitewater.ca .

    Hope to see you,

I have been down here since october with World Class kayak academy and it is amazing. Always warm, Class II waterfalls on the Micos to V+ expedition creeking on the Alceseca in Tlapacoyan. Actually, you could spend your whole trip in Tlapacoyan as there are many high quality creeks and rivers very near-by. Xico river, Teocelo are some other high quality creeks.

    Hey Randy,

Let us know if there is anything else we can help out with. We currently have a promotion on for all bookings between now and Dec. 15 that Esprit will donate $100 to the Kipawa legal fund.

    Hope to see you,

    Hey Randy,

Go to Mexico!!! I saw Jim Coffey responded, he is an awsome guy, really tries to get people into paddling and puts the money back into the small village they are based out of. It is a really fun trip and very worthwile. Mexico is awsome, hot (although the rivers are cold), food is great and service is awsome. If you can afford it the trip will be well worthwile.

    Good luck!!

    Hil
