Yo guys,

Saturday or Sunday? I’ve got to be in the city on Sunday by 4pm… I was thinking about doing some bouldering in the Niagara Glen on Saturday morning… Maybe Saturday on the way back from the Glen, or Sunday morning?

You guys have a rally race this weekend?

I could be persuaded to skip bouldering/climbing for a full weekend long St. Kits paddlefest…..

Boydo – You should join in for some good ol’ fun. Better start practicing your roof rack slingin’

hey Rob…

we are goign down to the states on saturday to watch a rally race but we’ll be back by sunday…. as for paddling, i just realised that it might be a bit hard this weekend..

there is a rowing race on thursday, friday, saturuday and sunday in st. catharines (bunch of highschools from states and canada). the rowing course is down the river from the weir and usuall for big rowing races they shut down the river completely. the water level will be even lower than last weekend and i don’t think the weir will be paddleable at this level. i can try to take a look at it today and let you know what the level is. but last year when i looked at it during rowing races it was too low to paddle…

Awww… Schit!

Well… If it still looks ok, let me know… How come they lower it for the racers, but they won’t raise it for us! Talk about double standard… In fact, they downright chase us away, forget about being nice and raising the level when the water’s available…

Still going to the Ottawa on the 10th, right? Looking forward to it! I think I can leave Friday afternoon, but I have to be back before 10pm on Sunday night. Hope that works with you guys for the car-pool…

hmmm.. interesting, not sure what my full plans are for Saturday, but most likely will be spending the day with the Fiance as she is off for 4 weeks for work (which means lots of paddling oppurtunities over the next 4 weeks )

Right now I am slated for some sport climbing at Nemo for Sunday, but nothing is rarely written in stone for me.

and practise? when you have been slinging boats as long as I have, there is no need for practise.

Ah the weekend is here.

(Or at least at the exact same time  )

Sounds like no weir… Hopefully Yuro will keep us posted… You should definitely join in if it’s good… Off to the Ottawa next weekend… Hopefully see you there too!

Cheers,

No weir this weekend. They’re definitely chasing us away.
10th should be fun. I dont know if I’ll want to go to Ottawa if the level is so so for play. So maybe montreal, but I guess it will be up to yuro as well since he’s driving.

Hows your new boat treating you rob??

Yo Deemers,

Yeah, I’m warming up to the new boat. When I was at the weir with your bro last weekend it treated me really well… I was definitely able to catch some stuff and ferry across the hole to a pretty sweet wave in the middle with all the extra speed…

Ottawa at 11.25 right now… Not much rain in the forecast between now and next weekend… Could be anything by the 10th, right? Maybe 14+, or maybe down to 7 or 8… I agree though, if it stays around 11 maybe we should think about Montreal instead….. Still… Was fun last time, and you’d get another chance at Kahuna! <img loading=” title=”Very Happy” />

(C’mon, can you really pass up another chance at Kahuna?)

I paddled at that level last monday, and it wasnt that bad. But hopefully it either drops or goes up. ( and 11 is too high for big kahuna ) well, i’ll keep my eye on the level, and decide closer to the end of the week.
