I’ve seen some footage of some beautiful whitewater on the groundhog river.
sorry that sounded much snarkier than I meant it to.
Care to let us know how to delete or even edit a post?
It’s crown land, more specifically a conservation reserve.
Keep your eyes out for rattlesnakes. I saw two snakes but not rattlers (I think) and the folks who were camping saw a rattler.
Great spot to hang out. Some people were camping up on the hill when we were there Saturday.May 24, 2013 at 9:39 am in reply to: Who's at the helm, regarding restoring the Gull??? #58627
is it even possible to edit your own posts on here anymore?
Elora Gorge and the Irvine are up today!
Thought I would share this update I got today from Moon River Cottages:
Most of the ice is off the river.
The road is a quagmire right now. We are traveling by atv, and just making it through.
I can’t see the road being ready for trucks for at least another week or two.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but just imagine how it is for us! I have to make three trips in and out the road today to bring in MNR employees who are doing work in here. The road is flooded out in three different locations.
Anyone ever paddle at the Moon River playspot at levels around 3.7 m or 110 cms? Any photos from the level? What’s it like?
The photos on the Whitewater Ontario Wiki are from 3.4 m or 88 cms.
There was still ice on the lake for the lead-in to the Salmon River. We were able to walk on it last weekend. I think about 1 out of the 50 people that did it over the weekend fell through the ice. It was less sketchy the weekend before. My bet is that it will be quite sketchy or mostly gone for this coming weekend. The river had very few bits of ice shelf left along the shores last weekend.
Throw some foam under the seat or get the sweet cheeks 3000 or whatever crap jackson is selling these days.
Let it Rain is good
